Silk bead cord is commonly used with pearls and higher end beads. It’s soft material is harmless to pearls and tends to have more of a natural drape. Many people find that silk bead cord is easier to knot when making pearl necklaces. Silk bead cord will need to be replaced more often if worn on a regular basis, we recommend every 3-5 years.
