Switchblade Self-Feed Wood Boring Bit — three replacement cutting blades with a self-contained storage case for sustained large-diameter rough-in drilling at the 2-1/8 in. specification. The 2-1/8 in. diameter is used for 1-1/2 in. rigid conduit with clearance, major plumbing drain and vent penetrations, large HVAC rough-in holes, and the large-bore applications where this size provides the required clearance for the pipe or conduit system being installed. The Switchblade’s tool-free push-button blade release mechanism enables the worn blade to be replaced in approximately 10 seconds at the work location without tools — restoring full cutting sharpness immediately and avoiding the drilling interruption and bit body replacement cost that standard boring bits require when their cutting edges dull.
