Milwaukee Type J Grease — 1 lb.
Model Number: 49-08-4220
The Milwaukee 49-08-4220 is genuine Milwaukee Type J Grease in a 1 lb. tub — the factory-specified gearcase lubricant used in a wide range of Milwaukee corded and cordless tools where Type J is called out in the service parts list. Type J is a semi-solid, red-colored NLGI Grade 2 grease formulated for the operating temperatures, speeds, and load conditions of Milwaukee’s professional-grade tool gear trains. Using the specified Type J grease during gearcase service ensures gear teeth and bearing surfaces receive the correct lubrication film for long service life and full power transmission efficiency. Milwaukee specifies Type J for use in many M18 FUEL impact wrenches, angle grinders, and other tools requiring gearcase re-lubrication during service.
Always use only the Milwaukee-specified grease type called out in your tool’s service parts list — substituting an incompatible grease type can cause premature gear and bearing wear. The 1 lb. tub provides sufficient quantity for multiple gearcase service procedures.
